A Walking U-pick With the Farmer-Friday, June 13th from 7-9 pm
We’re going to do something a little different for our first picking event of the season. While the farm is not in full rolling bloom with annuals like it is during July-September, there are some really special flowers that bloom early in the season and we would love to share them with you! Towering delphinium, loads of yarrow, fragrant peonies, sweet little feverfew, lacey orlaya, winding clematis vine, and more await you! We will search out some blooms in a few parts of the farm where u-pickers don’t usually have access. This will be a group event that we will all do together so we are keeping the number of attendees very limited. Not only will we be picking as we go but we will be learning about the many things that grow on our farm and how they can be used in floral arrangements. Farmer Jamie will be leading the walk and will be happy to answer all your flower questions. After we pick we will head to our patio where you can arrange your flowers into your own vase or take them and do it at home. Light refreshments will be provided. We will be using our white pitchers for picking so please bring along a vase or bucket to transfer your flowers into or we have vases available for purchase in the tiny farm store which will be open for the evening. Please dress comfortably and wear shoes good for walking. We can’t wait to welcome you to our farm!
